Energetické opravny, a.s. was established in 1998 as a subsidiary of ČEZ, a.s. Since then, Energetické opravny, a.s. has established itself as a major player in the repair, modernisation and reconstruction of technological equipment in the energy sector and other industries. In March 2008, the engineering company SLOVENSKÉ ENERGETICKÉ STROJÁRNE, a.s. became its 100% owner. Since July 2014, Energetické opravny, a.s. has been part of the EP Industries, a.s. group, which is one of the most important industrial groups in the Czech Republic and includes a number of companies operating in the segments of energy engineering, transport infrastructure, automotive industry, waste management and mechanical engineering.

Currently, the company provides mainly contractual service, maintenance, repairs and modernization of technologies at coal-fired power plants and heating plants of all power levels in the Czech Republic. The company also provides inspections of pressure vessels and units, special and welding works including welding supervision and NDT tests. On request, the company provides cost calculations for repairs and reconstruction and designs plans and procedures including specification of required materials.

Energy Repair works closely with other companies of the EP Industries group, focusing on energy and technology.
